Beaches in Costa Rica
Costa Rica has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world – beach holidaymakers, surfers, and divers are offered the best conditions there. To the west of Puerto Limon Limon is Tortuguero, a small town that can only be reached by boat. The so-called turtle beach is located here. The beach is less suitable for bathing than for wonderful walks.
The beach of Cahuita is also very beautiful, a sandy beach as it is in the book. Beach holidaymakers will find their dream beach here, where they can lie in the sun all day. Another beach that is also very quiet is Manzanillo Beach, which is still an insider tip.
The beaches on the Pacific coast are ideal for swimming, diving, and surfing. The water is clean and the bank slopes gently towards the water. These beaches are also ideal for families with children. Guanacaste is also on the west coast, where many holiday resorts have sprung up. Nearby is the most popular beach in Costa Rica, Tamarindo.
The beaches of Nicoya, a peninsula, are ideal for surfing. In the south, there is a strip of the coast of more than 35 kilometers in length, with beach after beach. Here you will find, for example, Playa Esterillos or Playa Bejuco. If the journey continues south from here, other wonderful beaches emerge, such as Playa Grande or Playa Uvita. The last two, in particular, are not yet overcrowded, so visitors can enjoy their peace and quiet here.
